FAQ

Questions we hear most

If yours is not here, call the front desk.

What happens at the first visit?

You talk with your doctor, have an exam and leave with a plan explained to you. It takes about 45 minutes. An adjustment happens the same day only if your doctor recommends one and you agree.

What are the risks of chiropractic care?

Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually brief. Rare serious risks exist, including injury to an artery in the neck after a neck adjustment. Your doctor explains the risks before you decide, and you can say no.

Will it hurt?

Most people feel pressure, and some feel sore for a day. Tell your doctor what you feel, and the technique changes.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and reviews it with you as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill many plans, and some do not cover chiropractic care. Medicare covers manual spinal manipulation only. We check your benefits before your first visit. How fees work explains the rest.

What if I do not use insurance?

Your doctor tells you what each part of a visit costs before it happens, and you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate in writing. Ask us.

Do I need x-rays?

Not usually. We take x-rays only when medically necessary, and your doctor tells you why first.

Can I bring my child or come while pregnant?

Yes. Your doctor talks with you first and adjusts the care to the patient. We do not claim chiropractic care treats childhood illness or changes the course of a pregnancy. Please talk with your pediatrician, doctor or midwife as well.

What if I have seen another provider?

Tell us. With your permission we ask for your records, and we work alongside the other provider's plan.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please call us the day before when you can to move or cancel a visit. Ask the front desk for the details.
