How fees work
Most of the questions about paying come before the first visit. Here are our answers, in the order people ask them.
Insurance we work with
We bill many insurance plans for chiropractic care, and some plans do not cover it at all. Whether yours does depends on your plan, not on us, so we check before your first visit.
Most PPO plans
Medicare, for manual spinal manipulation only
Plans that reimburse you for care outside their network
If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, your doctor tells you what each part of a visit costs before it happens, and you decide what to go ahead with. You pay at the front desk at the end of the visit.
Receipts for reimbursement
Ask at the front desk for an itemized receipt, sometimes called a superbill, and send it to your plan if it reimburses you for care outside its network. Your plan decides what it pays.
An estimate in advance
If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate before your visit.
Your rights under the No Surprises ActChecking your benefits
Call us with your plan information before your first visit and our billing coordinator checks your chiropractic benefits. We tell you what we find and what to expect at the desk. Your plan makes the final decision on payment.
What the first visit includes
A first visit is a conversation, an exam and a plan, and it takes about 45 minutes. An adjustment happens the same day only if your doctor recommends one and you agree.

A physical exam
X-rays only when medically necessary
A plan explained before any care begins
If you need to move or cancel a visit, please call us the day before when you can. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
Medicare
Medicare, in plain words
Medicare covers manual spinal manipulation only. It does not cover exams, x-rays, exercise or soft tissue work, or other care we may recommend, so here is how we handle it.
You pay the Part B coinsurance on a covered adjustment, after you meet the Part B deductible.
For care Medicare does not cover, we give you a written notice, the Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN), and the fee before the visit.
You can say no to anything that is not covered.
